Guest Reviews

What a beautiful, welcoming place to stay! Irene is a knowledgeable and friendly lady, who, from the outset, ensured we had an enjoyable stay in Te Anau. The motel unit was clean and comfy and had everything we needed (love that there were fair trade coffee, sugar and hot choc sachets). The 4G of data was most appreciated too!
Thank you Irene!

Te Anau is always full, so I was pleased when Irene was able to fit us in for an extra night. She was extremely good at recommending and booking tours.
The unit comprised of, Lounge with double bed and bedroom with two singles. Rooms good size.
Lounge had a small table four chairs, plus two armchairs.Cooking facilities. Bathroom with bath.
Wifi ok. Walking distance to town. Price OK considering the area.
I would recommend this place.

Absolutely loved this place!

First trip to Te Anau as part of our honeymoon and we received an exceptionally warm welcome from the lovely couple running the motel.

Excellent location and the room was really lovely. Great to have good cooking facilities and the bed was very comfortable!

Thanks for the great stay. I highly recommend Red Tussock!

We stayed for two nights in a 2 room apartment. We were welcomed by friendly faces. The apartment was toasty warm with the option of air conditioning for warmer months. Comfortable cosy beds which is a must staying away from home. Well equip kitchen so we were able to prepare our own meals if needed. Very clean and comfortable and really close to town and across the road from the lakefront. Would absolutely recommend and we will definitely be back. Thank you Irene and staff for a fantastic stay.

Stayed at the Red Tussock motel recently. The room was very comfortable with a nice kitchen and TV. It was very clean and tea and coffee are provided. The owners, Dave and Irene, were very kind and helped me book activities in the area. It was the best accommodation I have had in New Zealand and I will certainly be returning!
